Chapter 26: Snow Day in July

“It’s too blasted hot out there!”

Yazeba looked Parish in the eyes and said, “It’s not right, and I don’t have to take it.” She dashed up the stairs to her study. The chef frowned—this was never a good sign.

Moments later, a different set of footsteps dashed down the stairs. “It’s snowing,” cried an ecstatic Hey Kid, “in JULY!” A sharp-toothed grin spread across the devil child’s face, and they quickly pulled a scarf, hat, and mittens out of the coat closet. “Who wants to go sledding with me?”
